About the Author

Nicholas Murray, PT, DPT, is the Co-Owner and a licensed physical therapist at Form First Physical Therapy, bringing over 7 years of clinical experience in helping patients restore movement, reduce pain, and improve overall function. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Hartford in 2019, following his Bachelor of Science in 2016. As a board-certified physical therapist in Massachusetts and co-founder of a practice established in 2022, Nicholas plays a central role in delivering patient-focused, results-driven care.

Dr. Murray specializes in treating sports-related injuries, chronic pain conditions, TMJ disorders, and complex pain syndromes. His expertise extends to pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation, postural correction, and integrative manual therapy techniques, including cupping therapy. He has also completed advanced training in chronic lower back pain exercise prescription, vestibular therapy, and wheelchair positioning. His research contribution, “Detecting Drop Jump Asymmetries Using Wearable Sensors and 3D Motion Capture Camera System,” highlights his commitment to evidence-based practice and innovation in movement analysis.

Nicholas’s passion for physical therapy is deeply rooted in his personal background as a multi-sport athlete. Having experienced injuries firsthand, he understands both the physical and emotional challenges of recovery. This perspective fuels his dedication to not only restoring function but also rebuilding confidence in his patients. He thrives on solving complex cases and tailoring individualized treatment plans that address each patient’s unique story and goals.

Beyond the clinic, Nicholas is actively involved in the community, supporting initiatives such as the Home of the Brave Race and contributing to the Pan Mass Challenge. Outside of work, he enjoys CrossFit, snowboarding, golf, traveling, and spending time with his daughter—bringing balance and energy to both his personal and professional life.
